This was not the first time ICC was looking for CAN activities but they had not took any action as Nepal was not so important Cricket Nation at the time. Being surrounded by different Test Playing Cricket Nations, Nepal was an Emerging Cricket Nation. As the time Passed, Nepal team especially Khadka & other players gained more valuable position in Cricket History of Nepal and ICC. On of the Big Jumps came in 2014 when Nepal played their first T20 World Cup where they not only had highlighted the Nation but each and every individual elements of cricket in their country.
And soon after, the players themselves fought against the CAN for different reasons related to facilities, services and goals. Which was highlighted all over the cricketing Nations & i am not blaming the Players but CAN management was corrupted from bottom to up for improving their management. I also don't hesitate to tell that CAN was very late considering the importance of Nepal in Cricketing Map but players were half on their target. Which led ICC step forward and take action for preserving the Cricket in Nepal and Nepalese players.
The only determination and well set goal of the Captain Khadka and other senior players at the time was the rope to which hanged falling cricket in Nepal. Despite being CAN suspended, they allowed Nepal's National Team to play in international matches where they not only made history but achieved their 75 % of the target set for test nation. They gained ODI status, T20I status back.
And none can say this 75 % was not made by team alone. The constitution of CAN has been approved by ICC and CAN is waiting release of Suspension.
The Players had their goal in their mind, especially the Captains like Hari, Binod, Raju & Khadka.
All have contributed well for their Nation, despite the success has kissed Khadka to come with. Now after the Release which is for sure, Nepal's Cricket Association(CAN) needs a well set vision combined with the players and strengthen the domestic structure and build a busy schedule for the National and Domestic Players. This not only will contribute for cricket but for overall development of Nation.
